As the
world marks World HIV/AIDS day, the Project Manager of Taraba AIDS Control
Agency, Dr Garba Danjuma has disclosed that about 30,000 people of the
estimated 150,000 persons living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) in Taraba State are
currently on treatment.
He

the highest in the entire North-east region, and that the state government is
collaborating with international partners to tackle the pandemic.
“Here in
Taraba State, the government is complementing provision of ART free to people
living with HIV and more HCT centres have been established.
“The
state government has also awarded contract for construction of a permanent
